Upcoming International Women’s Day Events in waterloo Region 

Join Waterloo Region Small Business Centre  

The Waterloo Region Small Business Centre is pleased to announce the return of our 10th annual International Women’s Day event! This year they will be hosting a continental breakfast at The Walper Hotel where they will #EmbraceEquity by giving women of all ages, stages, and backgrounds an opportunity to share their experience with entrepreneurship as a woman in 2023. 

 

Join Advocis Golden Triangle’s 

for their Women’s Day Celebration, held at the beautiful Charcoal Steakhouse. This inaugural event will feature guest speaker Emily O’Brien, Founder of Comeback Snacks who will share her inspirational story of resiliency against all odds. All are welcome! 

Emily will highlight the skills she learned through her life experiences with addiction, being a felon and transforming all of this into building a successful business, advocating for reform, and sharing her knowledge to help others.

Grab your besties for a night of girl power hits made famous by Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, Carrie Underwood, Pink, Avril Lavigne, Adele, The Chicks, Spice Girls, and more! 

 

Join Digital Sabbath Film Company  

for a screening of Sarah Polley’s Oscar nominated film “WOMEN TALKING”, with special guest speakers and post-screening reception. Admission is free with donation to Women Crisis Services of Waterloo Region. Please RSVP to reserve your seat. All are welcome! 

 

Join Rusty Nail Comedy: 

for an International Women’s Day comedy special: Rebecca Reeds is a stand-up comedian and writer from small-town Ontario. She began performing in Ottawa and has quickly become a comedian to watch out for. She’s performed in the United Kingdom, the United States, and all over Canada. She has opened for several distinguished comedians like Beth Stelling, Jim Norton and Tom Green.
