SHOW assists individuals who have experienced chronic homelessness, sometimes for years. Many residents face challenges like mental illness, substance use, trauma, and difficulty trusting or accepting help. Through 24/7 wraparound support, SHOW provides a compassionate, empathetic response to help tenants find stability, purpose, and achieve personal goals by getting involved in the community and learning life skills. As leaders in supportive housing, SHOW advocates for more affordable housing options and aims to shift negative public perceptions about their residents.
Together, SVP & SHOW are embarking on a social media & marketing project as well as developing a case for support. Partners, Katie Waddington & Lacey Heels are conducting an audit of current social media and newsletters that SHOW uses before making some recommendations for content creation and cadence. We are also hosting a Fundraising 101 session run by Dan Hussey on March 25th and representatives from SHOW, Compass Refugee Center, CYPT as well as participating SVP partners will attend.
